A tribute to the smells that surround us
The Urbieta14 brand emerged in 2020 in Donostia-San Sebastian as a project to capture the essences of the land and the sea and launch them into the world as a tribute to the smells that surround us and form part of the olfactory heritage of the entire planet.
Just like the ripples made by a stone thrown into the water that expand or the dandelion seeds scattered by the wind, our fragrances cross borders to share unusual nuances that excite our customers who recognise themselves in them, regardless of age, sex or culture, as they appeal to universal smells that are familiar to us regardless of who we are.

The brand
In 2020, after 70 years of family tradition in the sector and culture of perfume, we understood that the time had come to create our own brand, and we started with the project of our URBIETA14. A brand that was born in the Basque Country from its headquarters in San Sebastian and with the vocation of crossing borders and offering its own essences and values to an increasingly globalised world.
The promoter of the project is Gurutz Olaskoaga who, thanks to his long career and his cosmopolitan and curious vocation, understands perfumery as a whole, and who for the creation of each of the URBIETA1 perfumes works together with the perfumers, the authentic olfactory master creators.
This careful synergy of experience, creative capacity and skill in surprisingly combining the most exquisite raw materials on the market, gives rise to unusual and exciting fragrances that reflect our exceptional knowledge and know-how, paying tribute to the olfactory heritage of all mankind, a tribute to the perfumes themselves and recognition of the value of the essences of nature that comprise them.
History
The family tradition in the world of perfumery, origin of our Urbieta14 brand, dates back to 1954 when Francisco Olaskoaga who, already initiated in the world of perfumery on his mother's side, together with his wife Edurne Sarasola, opened the Urbieta Perfumery in the centre of San Sebastian.
The establishment gained immediate recognition, both in the city itself and among the many visitors, its fame quickly spread beyond San Sebastian.
It was at the end of the 2000s when Gurutz Olaskoaga, son of the founders, returned to the family business with the aim of turning Perfumería Urbieta into a leading European establishment in signature or niche perfumery, eventually forming part of the selection committee of the prestigious and exclusive Esxence, signature perfume fair, in Milan.
Our brand Urbieta 14 was created in the Basque Country to spread throughout the world.
